G250 Pro Series The G250’s unique ability to blend maximum air flow with precise delivery, low exhalation effort and extreme durability has made it the number one choice of technical, professional and exploration divers the world over. These same characteristics have also made the G250 a favorite with knowledgeable and discriminating recreational divers. Air balanced linear flow valve The G250’s full-size, lightweight fiberglass-and-graphite air chamber was computer designed to reduce flow and exhalation resistance, while SCUBAPRO’s patented linear flow valve ensures low cracking effort and easy breathing, even at extreme depths and low tank pressures. VIVA Both inhalation resistance and aspirated flow (VIVA) can be adjusted by means of quick-access external knobs, allowing the user to fine tune breathing performance to match physical demands and challenging environmental conditions such as surf entries, currents and dramatic increases or decreases in depth. No matter what the diving environment, the G250 can meet -- and exceed -- the diver’s needs. First stage Mk 18 Diaphragm P.A.S.S. - [Piston Assisted Seat] SCUBAPRO’s new Piston Assisted Seat technology rewrites the rules on diaphragm regulator design. On conventional diaphragm regulators, a flat seat seals against a fixed, knife-edge orifice. The coated surface of the seat is susceptible to high pressure failure, while the system’s design creates additional turbulence as the moving air is redirected around the seat and through the orifice. The P.A.S.S. system utilizes a guided Piston type stem with a rounded edge which seals against a concave acetalic resin seat. Because the P.A.S.S. system forms a superior seal with less pressure, and because it is driven by a guided and aligned piston rather than floating on a lifting rod, the P.A.S.S. system can operate with lighter spring tension and less mechanical lag. This, combined with the venturi effect in the HSC, boosts both air delivery performance and response time.
