The OceanLink™ PC Interface software provides both dive simulation and post-dive analysis & logging for Oceanic dive computers. The OceanLink™ interface connects to the two infrared leds on the dive computer and allows to download all the dive logs into a personal computer. Dive profiles are graphically rendered on computer screens or print outs with easy to read graphs. The exquisitely detailed log includes depth and decompression status during a dive, maximum depth, bottom time, air consumption/air time remaining, no-decompression status, descent and ascent rate, ambient temperature, surface interval and all warnings. The interactive OceanLink software enables dry divers to conduct a "virtual dive" simulating through programmable, sequential screens, upcoming adventures as the full screen of the dive computer is displayed on the PC screen. OceanLink allows manual control of the dive profile. The simulation enables "what if?" scenarios and familiarity with the various screens to be encountered below the surface. Topside simulation is an important ingredient in preparing for a safer, more enjoyable, more predictable time underwater, and creates familiarity with the operation of dive computers.
